In a prestigious gathering at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) on September 8, 2023, registered Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs) in Malaysia's medical device certification services convened for a significant event, "Dialogue with CABs: Updates Related to Certification Activities under the Act 737." Hosted by Pre-Market Control Division (BKPP), the event aimed to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among registered CABs, auditors, and technical personnel.

The primary objectives were twofold: first, to stay updated on regulatory requirements and second, to establish clear principles for addressing issues in the certification process. Dr. Muralitharan, Chief Executive of the Medical Device Authority (MDA), delivered the opening speech and moderated a dynamic dialogue session, enriching discussions with his extensive expertise. The Q&A session that followed allowed participants to explore solutions and insights crucial for certification processes. A photography session ended the event and captured the memorable occasion, emphasizing the importance of collective engagement.

The event was a testament to the commitment of CABs to uphold the integrity, quality, and effectiveness of medical device certification activities in Malaysia. As the participants departed, they carried forward knowledge gained from the dialogue, ensuring continued excellence in their certification endeavors. The success of the event sets the stage for future dialogues and collaborations in this vital sector.
